security key will not work, very often

The security key issue is frequently very frustrating. it may work for a while then stop working. Yestereday was allright. 7.8 build 421. today it repeatedly gives a security key not found. uninstalling it on the device manager will not work. it says that it will not install. 4 hours later, i do not get that message but get simply will not open. When will they work out the bugs in this? I am using Vista these days and already reinstalled the program with the new cd i was sent a week ago. thanks. Geo
