  • Email Alerts??

I have a client that is experiencing problems email alerts to himself with a Sprint Wifi card on his laptop. I've tried to send emails to myself on my esignal (8) and it workd just fine.

I've had him remove all firewall apps and use my mail servers with my email address and I get nothing from him.

He is running Esig 8 on one PC and 10 on the other. Both pcs are XP (home on one and Pro on the other).

Has anyone experienced any problems with these wifi cards or the email features of esignal using these cards??

I have never been able to send an Alert.email from with an efs, i use comcast.net and that may be the issue on my end.

my esignal sends them just fine. I use my mail server and BANG, they're in my inbox in under a minute.

I think it has to do with the connection type of different clients??

The issue may be due to the ISP requiring authentication on the SMTP server.
If that is the case you may want to try the solutions suggested in this thread
