Qchart Question

WHY will qcharts not give me any info under the dj-mini symbol
YM Z8...

It did the oil-mini fine, but says it cannot find the YM Z8

Any suggestions??

Hey salbert,

Are you subscribed, at minimum, to "Delayed US and Canadian Futures"?

I seem to recall that when my subscription to Delayed Futures was inadvertently trashed, I could get lucky with a few syms, but in general got no Futures quotes outside of the CME emini package I also subscribe to.

Else, some servers can be flakey at any given point in time and exit-wait a bit-restart will clear matters up.

hmmmm...

thanks for the data, i got the basic package with live feeds to the futures market, the oil mini is the one i trade the most and i had no problem getting it up and into the charts i needed. I will look maybe i need more subscriptions!!!

hey Larry,
I had thought the YM, ES and NQ were all on the CME EMini - but now I'm not 100% sure.
The YM lists on the CBOT:

and when you click it, it charts CBOT:YM Z8

The Delayed package will get it for sure (delayed).

But somehow in the back of my head I had it in that CME EMini package - not sure that's right. The back of my head gets dusty sometimes.....

In the RealTime section of Account Maintenance, make sure this section is turned ON...

US Futures Exchange (formerly Eurex US)

This is different than the US Futures in the Delayed section.

In my account it does not list CBOT as a service, is there anyway to get a live feed of the cbot mini dow into the qchart?

My trading of this would depend on it as i could not use a delayed version

If you log into Acct Maint.
and look under the "Services" section and click on "Add / Cancel Add-On Serivces"
and go to "Real Time Data Services" and click "Show More Options" and look under "North American Futures"

You don't see a listing for "CBOT MINI Futures" at $15/mo?

thanks guys alot, i have attached a file so u dont thnk im a looney!! It doesnt make sence i cant get any of the NYMEX to pull up at all yet i use the oil-mini everyday???

I'd suggest you email the guys at tech support at [email protected] and send them your QCharts login name so one of them can lookup your account and the exchanges you are sub'd to.....

If you go into Preview on a post, you have to do another "Browse" for the file you wish to attach.

I assume you want "QM"...yes?
The continuous contract is... QM #F
Current front month (not continuous) is... QM F9

See screenshot for getting them Realtime.
In any event, a US Futures Delayed subscription is required for any futures one is not subscribed to Realtime. Like for the YM that's CBOT, not NYMEX.
Did you set that other one (the formerly Eurex item) on?

Did ya exit/restart?
