  • Data feeding for Multicharts.

    Hi.

I am trying to feed historical data for multicharts.

    1. Can I do this with esignal-ondemand?
    2. Does 11.x version of eSignal work with multicharts?
    3. If you have any manual for this work, show me a link to it.
(couldn't find multicharts as 3rd-party on
"Third Party Applications for eSignal" page.)

    thanks for your help.

    Regards.

    Hi,

1.No, On Demand does not work with 3rd party applications.

    2. Yes, I am using MultiCharts 7.0 with eSignal 11.1 and is working just fine.

    3. You will need to configure the QuoteManager in MultiCharts to use eSignal data. The Help function in MultiCharts will explain how.

We are in the process of allowing 3p's to access OnDemand but our marketing sites have not been updated yet. As of this past weekend, MultiCharts should work fine with an OnDemand subscription.

      Thx

        Ondemand doesn't work for Multicharts.

        Thanks for your reply.

I tried to use Ondemand as data feeder for MC,
        and it doesn't work.
I definitely turned on Data Manager, but it shows nothing.
If you have any instructions for this work,
        please show me one.

        Best regards.

It works for us internally so not sure why your set-up is not working. We haven't officially announced this to the 3p's yet but that's in process and those that need it, can get test accounts. It's the same data manager that works for the other eSignal subscription types so I can't think of any reason a 3p wouldn't work with the OnDemand service. Give us a couple weeks to finish this process and then you should be able to get assistance from Multicharts.

          Thanks.

We've now officially announced that OnDemand can work with any approved 3p. We also tested MultiCharts internally and it worked great.

Did you get MC to work OK on OnDemand? If not, you might want to contact MC and see if they have any ideas. We'll be happy to set-up an acct for them if they contact us. They should have received a notice today about OD being available to 3p's.

            Thanks!

              this is what I did.

              Thanks for your reply.

This is what I did today to make it work,
              and still doesn't work.
Please tell me what to do to make it work.
I also put up a new thread on MC forum.

              Regards.

Were you able to get MC running with OnDemand? If so, what adjustment or change did the trick?

                Thanks.
