  • Problems

    I downloaded the program and installed it fine. On two different computers i get the same problem. I go to download the data and in the "Download Performance" window the status hangs on Connecting and Waiting (alternating between the two)--no data ever gets downloaded. Any ideas what could be causing this?

    Hi Mitch,

    Your problem can be caused by several things:

    - you're not subscribed to the symbol you're trying to download;
    - you have problems with your proxy/firewall settings (the port used by the UniServer should be shared);
    - wrong eSignal password
    - incorrect DataManager Internet settings. Please go
    to the DataManager -> Communications and make sure the IP Address is CM*.esignal.com (NOT CM*.DBC.com).

      I can use esignal just fine so I am subscribed to the symbols, and my password is fine. I changed the datamanager setting to CM*esignal.com, with no resolution to the problem. I am using a router for my cable connection. Could this be the problem? By the way I'm using esignal 7.4...

        Please restart eSignal, DM and GlobalServer and then try again. Let me know how it works.

          I had done that at least a hundred times (as Ive had this problem with Uniserver and couldn't get it fixed), but I thought i'd try restarting everything one last time and i don't know how, but it worked! So thanks...
