  • Install problem

    Hi
I am running 11.7 SP2 on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine and would like to upgrade to the 64-bit version of 12.0.

Download works, but I get an error message when I try to install the upgrade :

"an error occurred during the installation of assembly policy 8.0 Microsoft VC80.MFC, version = 8.0.50727.61 95, public key token = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" processor Architecture = "x.86, type = win32-policy. Please refer to help and support. HRESULT : 0x800736B3"

I had a similar error message when I tried to install the last upgrade.

I have thoroughly researched the problem on the internet and have tried most of the suggested fixes, even paying for registry check software.

I have no problems installing other software.

Esignal telephone support tells me that it is a windows problem and have not offered any solutions or advice.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
