The ICE Futures Exchange is planning to launch two new futures contracts based on the Russell Stock Indices. The Russell 1000 Growth and Russell 1000 Value Index futures contracts will begin trading on May 3, 2010. These contracts will be available on the ICE Futures US, ICE Futures Indices as well as ICE Futures Europe.
The symbol format will be as follows:
In preparation for this change, the existing Cash Spot symbols for the Russell 1000 Growth (GG A0) and Russell 1000 Value (VV A0) will be changing to the new symbols (RG A0 and RV A0 respectively) effective April 15, 2010. All historical data will be moved over to the new symbols so please be sure to update your charts, quote windows, formulas, etc. with the new symbols.
