Unable to pull Historical data

Hello all,

I am not being able to retrieve historical data. I am using the sample application; DesktopAPIHistory from the samples. When i click on the get data button, nothing really happens for a very long time. It does not even work on a request for a very small number of bars.

Can anyone let me know what i am missing here?
