Hello, I am new to this forum because my company is about to purchase eSignal.
I have a few questions:
1) I have read the "eSignal Developer Reference.doc". I see that there are 3 different APIs. I *think* would be looking to use the Standard API, or possibly the Control API.
- am I correct in saying that this API doesn't need the eSignal application to be running?
- where do I obtain documentation and example about this API
- which API do you recommend I use (between Standard and Control)?
2) In the API, are there functions available to supply the data our account has access to? For example, if we subscribe to NYSE and NASDAQ then can we get a list of shares available to us on these markets?
3) Our primary application would be to download some data and process it in our own in-house applications. For this we would need to keep our data store "synchronized" with eSignal's. How does the API deal with symbol name changes, or any other market information that changes infrequently?
