A week ago I switched off TSTQ (bid ask entitlement).
With the market closed I have just opened a pure tick chart for ES #f (ie ES #F,T), see chart attached.
On the chart I see marks for the bid and ask. Since I have been assured that the ONLY thing that TSTQ entitlement provides is the historic bid and ask data for a pure tick chart I just don't understand why, with TSTQ off, I am seeing these marks - there can be no confusion as to whether these marks were drawn AFTER the chart was first opened as the market is closed (UK 15:40 Sunday).
I have also been told that the depressingly slow rate of backfill of tick-based charts (eg two to three seconds per bar for a 20000V ES #F) would improve with TSTQ switched off. I see no such evidence of any improvement.
What am I missing?
