QCollector for backtesting?

Hi all,

I would like to use eSignal offline to backtest my strategies.
This would entail downloading historical data on my hard disk, and then be able to use this data with eSignal in offline mode.

I thought that QCollector could do this, but after a couple of hours playing around, I am getting the impression that QCollector can only download data from eSignal, but the data can not be used again by eSignal offline for backtesting.

Any help would be really appreciated!
Does anyone know of any other way to do the above, if not with QCollector?
