What is Scanner Functionality

I cannot find anything that describes the precise functionality of the available scanners.

What I am looking to do is to scan for stocks that meet certain technical criteria. I would be happy to specify all criteria and then scan or to scan from one criteria and then re-scan the results with a second criteria and the, say, a third criteria until I get a short list.

Are there scanners that have this functionality and where can I see.

Here is a link where the scanners are discussed in more detail. As for test-driving the scanners first hand, you may want to give the Sales department a call for a 30-day trial. The sign up information is at the bottom of the link I provided. Hope this helps.

Can I scan, for example, stocks that have\crossed a stochastic or a CCI threshhold? The descriptions in the link are very general and unspecific. I don't want to expend time if this functionality is not there. Can u help?
