  • What eSignal fields can I bring into Excell?

I’m building an Excel spreadsheet and using Q-Link to pull several things from eSignal for further import into an Access database.

Some things come into Excel just fine but others do not. The RTD example spreadsheet that is available for download has a worksheet for Fields-Syntax with a long list of items that should(?) be able to be imported, but I am unable to import a lot of them.

Any ideas as to how I can get “date”,” type” and “nav” info? I’m assuming that unless a field is listed in the Qlink.RtdNameMap.txt file that it can’t be brought over. Is that correct?

Also, when bringing “last” into Excel it gives the last trade price on stocks OK, but if the symbol is of a mutual fund, the field is blank even though eSignal gives a last trade price. If I bring over “prevprice” then the number is a day old. Any ideas as to how I can bring over yesterdays close or todays open?

    Thanks
    John
