Compatibility problem with palm's lifedrive device

I seem to have problem with compatibility and palm's lifedrive device... System crashs when trying to reconnect WiFi.
initial connection goes fine but once lifedrive powers down and
I lose connection I have problem. Trying to reconnect manually with Quotrek open causes system reset. Even if I exit Quotrek and reconnect WiFi system crashes. Anyone else have this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve
