question...need some help

hello, i trade with forex exchange......mostly with euro/$, gbp/$, $/chf, $/yen, gbp/yen.......so i want to know what is the best time frame to use......somebody say to me that the ticks r the best time frame to use....and that there are a numbers of ticks for each pair.....can u please tell me how many ticks for each pair????
