  • ib: fractions and decimal bug in futures

The IB plug in doesn't seem to handle futures fractions very well.

    1. Enter an order for the 10 year note via the IB integrated trading. Use a whole number. For example, the 10 year is at 113 3/32. Try to enter a buy for 113.0. Over in IB, this will read as price "2147483647'2147483647". It gets a little blown out.

    2. Can you get consistant on the use of fractions and decimals? In the chart its a whole number (113 3/32 = 113030). In the IB interface, it is a decimal (113.09375). Its pretty tough to reconcile this decimal number against the chart! you can't tell where your order is. if you want to modify the order in the pending order list, you have to pull out a calculator to get the decimal equivelent. This makes it pretty much useless to trade with.

    thanks,
    chris
