pointer variable for DLLs not supproted in efs?

I get an error calling a DLL that uses pointer variables in an efs using TWSLink's GET_MARKET_DATA function. I know for most applications can get market data from eSignal. But, I want to get market data for options which my understanding you can not do from an efs.

The author is trying to make a workaround, but does anyone know how to use pointer variables with a DLL in an efs?
