  • Trends, Continuation/ Sentiment

Friday's continuation pattern was very ominous. I was
hoping for the best, but sentiment wins out.
Previous charts shows bearish patterns outlined.
We are now at these key levels.

The patterns were clear as sentiment changed.

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

              OJ,

There are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them.

What good is seeing if one has no feelings?

              Rejoice!

                • Jerry / Jeff --

Interesting chart pattern. I just noticed it looks like a pot / ladle. Call it the JJ Spaghetti trade.

Jeff -- That Bollinger Band RSI looks really interesting...

What are your criteria for drawing the WATCH circles? A bounce of a previous band or the 20-line? (I assume it's a 20period ma on the centerline?) 2 std deviations? How do you know when it's relevant? Like on 2/23 it bounced off the bottom band twice but you don't have a watch on the 20 line / 50% area?

Just wondering if you have a set of rules you follow.

Have you read Bollinger on Bollinger bands? If so, worth reading?

                  Thanks!

                  • RSI w/bands study

                    Hi Soylent,

I basically use the RSI any interval, I like lengths 4,14,or 20.
The basic concept is, where is the Price moving in relation to the 50.
Or is the RSI above or below 50.

The BB's and MA are just extra's.....I discussed bollinger's in
previous posts. Yes, the centerline is usually 20ma.
You may have noticed I don't usually use BB's or the 20ma
in my trading. 3,-3ma, 9ma, 40ma, 200ma are my std. tools.

That said, The BB centerline(20ma) is generally minor support/resistance in a swing.
When I'm drawing circles you are to be looking for crossovers or failures to crossover.

                    ..........comprende?

The work will teach you how to do it.

                    Good Trading,

                                Morning JJ

                                pontificating?<G>

just did not understand all those lines...my mantra is to keep as simple as possible for "stupid" people like me..i like less is better than more.

i always traded with the least amount of indicators because most of them are redundant...

i really like that CCI(20) on my default charts along with volume and ADX...thats my whole chart except for some mva's...

to difficult for me to look at more than that, and thats really all i need. heck it works for me...

                                hope your doing well
