Should threads be by oldest to newest or newest to oldest?

We haven't reviewed this issue in quite some time so we thought it was a good time for a new poll on the subject. Starting today, each thread now lists the post in chronological order from oldest to newest. Each time you enter a thread, you'll see the first post and will then scroll down to see the replies.

Prior to today, the opposite was in place. The latest reply was always "on top".

Please vote your preference as this is a global setting so it's one way or the other.

I liked the old way where latest reply was "on top".

I'd say you were in the majority thus far. A whooping 92%+ prefer the old method. We'll leave the poll open another day or so but it certainly appears the preference is to go back to the previous method.

While not a huge sample size, I think the people have loudly spoken! We'll revert back to the previous method of showing the most recent post first.
