Problems with Johannesburg Indices

Currently the Johannesburg Index has not opened today which seems due to problems at the exchange.

We will update this post as soon as we have more information.

There is still a problem at the JSE and the market is closed at present.

We have no ETA as of when the issue will be resolved.

We have contacted the exchange who confirmed that there is still a problem. The market will be halted which will result in the current opening auction being suspended.
We will be seeing data being received but at much lower volume than usual.

We will continue to update this post as soon as we receive further information.

The exchange informed us that - in order to ensure the JSE network infrastructure is in a stable state across all markets - it will be halting trading in all JSE markets for a period of time.

All customers will lose connectivity to all JSE services during this period. The equity market is already in a halted state.
Further trading schedules will be advised in due course.
