Please be advised that there will be an important symbology change that will affect all Eurex symbols.
The symbol extension for all Eurex symbols (futures, options, spreads) will be changing from (–DT) to (–EUX) effective March 27, 2015. For example:
Current Symbol: FBTP U5-DT
New Symbol: FBTP U5-EUX
In addition, approximately 25 symbols will have new root symbols in addition to the new exchange extension. The list of root symbols that will be changing is listed below. These root changes will better align our symbols with the native exchange format.
Please see below for a list of root symbol changes:
In order to help facilitate a smooth transition, we are distributing both the old and new symbol formats for a parallel run. The new symbology is available now and we encourage you to update all your charts, watch lists, etc. with the new symbol format and begin using the new symbology today.
As of March 27, 2015, the old symbology will be removed and you must be using the new Eurex symbology in order to avoid any interruption in service.
In addition to the benefits associated with using the exchange native symbology, this change will also allow us to provide additional content, such as additional spread symbols as well special symbols to represent Volume (#V) and Open Interest (#OI). Please use our Symbol Lookup function to review our full breadth of content available from the Eurex exchange.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about this change.
Thank you,
