Several exchanges will observe a Moment of Silence at varying times tomorrow to commemorate 9/11.
NYSE Euronext:
Before the trading day begins on Friday, the New York Stock Exchange community will observe a one-minute moment of silence in remembrance of the NYSE members and the thousands of others who lost their lives on 9/11. The Moment of Silence will be observed from 9:25 to 9:26 AM ET, Followed by Opening Bell at 9:30 AM ET.
NASDAQ OMX:
On Friday, September 11, 2009, all NASDAQ OMX U.S. markets will observe a moment of silence from 10:29 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Eastern Time (ET) in remembrance of September 11th victims and their families.
TSX Group:
To commemorate the 8th anniversary of September 11th, TSX Group will observe two separate moments of silence to remember those who lost their lives.
9:59 AM - Moment of silence (observance of time of fall of the South Tower)
10:29 AM - Moment of silence (observance of time of fall of the North Tower)
