Please note that effective March 4, 2015, the symbology for Montreal Options will be changing. The day of expiration will now be included as part of the options symbol.
Here is an example of the current format:
O:AAV 15B10.00-MXO
The new format will look like this, with D20 representing the day of expiration:
O:AAV 15B10.00D20-MXO
Click here for a list (Excel) of the new symbols.
If you utilize option chains, the symbology change will be automatically applied and you’ll see the new format reflected in all Montreal option chains. In addition, the daily history for Montreal options will be mapped to the new symbol and will also be automatically applied.
If you have manually inputted an individual Montreal option in a watchlist, portfolio, or chart, you will need to modify each occurrence with the new symbol format.
Please contact our support team if you have any questions or need any assistance related to this change.
Thank you,
