The trade request event doesn't get passed from eSignal to an ActiveX client application unless the "default trade button action" in preferences is set to "Integrated". Is there any way to change this setting automatically, either through the API, modifying the registry or a file, copying a certain setting, etc.?

Please tell me whatever you can about this feature, and how we can guarantee that our ActiveX client will receive the trade request message at all times.

eSignal stores that information in the %windir%\winsig.ini file, under "DefaultBroker". You may need to play with that to get it to display as you would like.
