XMLGetBasicQuote in 7.7

Should I be able to retrieve quote data for options with XMLGetBasicQuote? If so, do I retrieve based on a 5 character symbol or 6 sharacters (3 character option symbol, space, 2 character date and strike)? I have tried it both ways and get an empty XML string. The function returns data when I am using a stock symbol.

I am able to retrieve data for the e-minis, but was not able to for options. I thought the data was available using the short symbol, but that does not look like the case.
