How to monitor closing price ?

My program must be run uninterruptedly, and it will receive closing price of last day. If I only request history once, will the program receive OnBarsChanged event whenever the coming last day's closing price changed ? Or should I set a timer in the program to request history every morning ?

Does anyone has such experience before ?

It depends on the interval. If you ask for daily bars after market close, you should get the close price for the day. Bear in mind that the exchanges often update closing prices hours after it closes, so I would do this task late into the evening - or early in the morning as you suggested.
