DDE Limit Symbols Bug?

I have a eSig subscription for 1000 symbols wherein i bring in all the sp600 stock symbols and all the sp400 stock symbols into excel(2002)...

I can bring in 999 with no problem but the 1000th symbol gives me a message in the excel cell field about "higher symbol count needed.... etc."

what's up with that...

IMPORTANT:...
i look in data manager and it says 1000 and yet i get this error message in the excel dde area...

i don't think i should have to buy 500 more symbols at $75 a month to get this one last field which should be included already...

BUG in the dde system on symbol COUNT TOTALS...

I am looking into this. It may be a DDE issue.

Can you attach a spreadsheet that makes calls to 1000 symbols? Take out an proprietary calculations or formulas, I just need one column.

I found out that we added automatic subscriptions to the "$WRSMCNT" symbol for diagnostic reasons, so symbol limits are actually 1 symbol less than advertised. We will be making a modification to our Data Manager to not have this symbol go against your symbol limit and will be available in 7.9. If this poses an immediate problem, please call or e-mail our support department.
