how to create new VC++ DeskTop API application

Hi

i just started using Desktop API, right now i can use the VC++ DeskTop API example and modify it to retrieve some data from eSignal Application. but i still cannot figure out how to create a VC++ Desktop API application from the beginning. in all the example there is EvenSink.cpp and EvenSink.h, I wonder if i need to create these files manually? also in the example, there is a class type called IHooksPtr, i cannot find the class files, and i dont know how to use this class.

Please help me and give me some instruction how to use Desktop API to build VC++ application from the beginning.

I just posted an application called "Linking Sample" that is in VC++ and does not have those files.
