Thanks for the answers, so I will buy more RAM. What do you believe - would it help to buy a dual-prozessor workstation, and how much Mzh, would you buy 2.8, 3.2 or 3.4.

I don't think you need 2 processors, unless you will specifically code to use both. I would get as much RAM as possible and a good processor.

I agree. Unless you write special code to use more than one CPU, or are running inside an app server that provides that functionality for you, you won't get any advantage from multiple CPUs. But RAM will provide an immediate benefit. I have 1GB of RAM and wish I had 2GB...
