Desktop API in .NET

Hi,

I'm trying to write a pilot program using eSignal Desktop API and I am having problems configuring it under VS .NET.

When I go to add references dialog I don't see IEsignal under COM tab. Loading winsig.tlb results in the following message:

A reference to 'c:\program files\eSignal\winsig.tlb' could not be added. Could not load the type library. Error loading type library/DLL.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm... I know this isn't going to be of much help, but I do see IESignal in the Add Reference | COM dialog on my system. Maybe try uninstalling and the reinstalling eSignal?

Thank you. I did that twice before my original post, but to no avail. Anyway I've figured it out. After installing eSignal you have to run it for IESignal to be registered in the system and therefore be visible in 'Add Reference' box.

I was too eager to start development right after installing eSignal.

Thanks for pointing out the steps you took to correct it. It makes sense that eSignal needs to be started first, as there are quite a bit of background steps that occur on start-up.
