  • data in excel

    Hello,

Is it possible to create a link to Esignal in Excel to continually download data on a daily basis for select securities, store that data for each day and then start a new line of data for a new day?

Thank you in advance for your feedback,
    P

    Hi,

eSignal supports DDE links so you can set-up Excel to get data from the eSignal Data Manager. You can then modify Excel and use macros to store data and run different routines. If you look in the eSignal subfolder, you'll find a sample Excel spreadsheet with a little utility called SigTools. That'll help you get the DDE links set-up and once you've got an active working link, the rest is pretty much up to Excel programming.

You might also want to look at a utility like QCollector that's designed to store data automatically each day.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks.
