Heartbeat ? Function

Hi,

I am using the Desktop API. I would like to know if there is a "Heartbeat" type request I can use. I would like to be able to find out we still have a connection with the server.

Its just that if we dont see any tick data do we assume there is none ?

I was hoping that there is an undocumented function call for this purpose. Please assist.

Unfortunately, there is no such function.

Not even a "Hello Server - Are you there" ?

The problem I have is that we cant tell if there is no data being returned or if it is just a dodgy internet connection

If it's a dodgy internet connection, you would also experience problems in eSignal. Verify that the data is coming in there, and if so there is likely an implementation issue with your code.

I have no problem in esignal, and no problem in the code. I thought that there would be a function like "isEntitled" that would allow me to confirm connectivity with the remote server.
