Sending Data via API

Could you answer a Newbie question for me please.

Is it at all possible to use the Desktop API or DDE or any of them to send specific data from an advanced chart?

What I want to do is right click or hotkey on a pricel level on a chart which will then send that price to a program.

Hello Patch227,

You could certainly create a custom application with the Desktop API, however, you may find DDE to be a simpler solution. Please review the follow KB article on DDE.

Note, however, that DDE does not have the right-click capability you're looking for. That type of feature, if possible, would need to be developed within a custom application.
