  • Accessing IESignal in Excel

I downloaded the Excel example that illustrates how to access the Desktop.API from VBA. The object browser indicates that the library IESignal is being used. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to inform another Excel spreadsheet the location of this library. Online searches refer to a References dialog box for loading additional libraries, but this apparently only applies to VB. I cannot find anything comparable in Excel using VBA.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

The Excel Sample uses DDE, and does not access the Desktop API. These are two entirely different products. If you are interested in the Desktop API, you can contact Sales at 800.835.7113.

      In Excel

      Hello Larry,
      View ... Object Browser
      Tools ... References
      Check box IESignal
      - or -
      if that fails,
copy the sample xls to a new one and use it as your starting sheet
      Hope that helps.

Thanks ... I looked everywhere, obviously, except the right place.
