tick data

I have just joined to esignal. I am trying to learn and understand the available datastructe of esignal.

I do see tick data into BarData structure.

what is tick data? What is the use of tick data?

Tick data is consider each transactions whether it be trades or quotes that happens with a particular symbol. This data is used in building charts and making informed decision in trading.
