I am trying to find out the number of symbols I can access at one time for real time analysis (using price and volume) using the eSignal Desktop API.

Desktop API Symbol Limit

I was told by online tech support that the regular eSignal account could provide real time data for as many as 2500 symbols at one time and that the Desktop API could handle more. However, you have indicated that the limit on the Desktop API is only 100 symbols for real time data analysis. I need to process nearly 4,000 symbols at one time. Is there any way to do this with eSignal?

The desktop API cannot support processing real-time updates for 4000 symbols concurrently. The eSignal application is limited by a 2500 symbol limit for real-time quotes.

Does 2500 limit apply to Advanced Charts as well, where there's one symbol per chart?
