  • API Link not working after upgrade

    Any help would be appreciated...

I just upgraded my system...running windows 2008 server 64x. Esig and other apps running great, excpet for one problem. I have used the API link (pretty sure thats what it is called) to link to my broker (Genesis) and to my filter program (ontimeAlert). Typing a symbol in Genesis would load the symbol in esignal charts..and clicking a symbol in Ontime would load a symbol in esignal. After the upgrade I can not connect Genesis to esignal..I receive an error: "Error Initializing Invalid Class String"

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    cas

"Error Initializing Invalid Class String" is not generated by eSignal. You will need to contact Genesis for further support of this issue. My understanding is that you recently upgraded to Windows Server 2008 64 bit and your 3rd party application Genesis does not work with eSignal anymore.

I figured out that User Access Control in the OS was blocking the link. Once turned off, problem solved.

      Thanks,
