  • Disconnections from Desktop API

    I receive disconnection from Desktop API / Esignal Data Manager using
    DDE after some time of working. And then I try to reconnect the
    Data Manager which is not accepting the DDE connection. So I cannot connect.

    The version is updated. How can I resolve my problem?

    What is the error message for disconnection? Can you run the sigtools.xla sample spreadsheet and see if you can get data? What version of the eSignal application are you running?

      I am running the latest version of Esignal Data Manager (10.4). Made an update just few days ago. And I still simply get "cannot connect" situation from the application. I looks like that the data manager breaks the connection and does not allow to re-connect again.

      What further steps can be taken? Please advise.

        Are you able to retrieve data via the eSignal application and DataManager?

        Please make sure that you specify the same username in your eSignal application, the DataManager and also in your code by calling eSignal.SetApplication. I am assuming that your eSignal account is already entitled with ActiveX Development.
