does anybody know how to put a moving average on the volume bars ?

Is this question particularly related to the Desktop API? From which Desktop API method do you obtain the volume bar information?

In general, the Desktop API does not incorporate indicators (i.e. Moving Average) into it's data. You will need to calculate this on your own.

I'm not quite sure you have this posted in the correct location.

To add a Moving Average to the Volume on the Advanced Charts you would need to use a custom EFS. In the EFS Library you can find a variety of different EFS forumlas that you can download and use on your charts. Here is a link to an EFS for a Volume_with_MA.efs
