Excel 2007 and eSig Data Access w/o Charts

Some software packages out there (such as Market Delta) say that if you do not need eSig's charts, you can subscribe to eSig's Data Access only, which is a less expensive alternative.

If Data Access works with their software, wouldn't it work with Excel 2007 using VBA code and Desktop API, as well?

Yet, the sales rep said no way, you can't get Desktop API entitlement without subscribing to the whole eSig packagae, including charting.

I do not need eSig's charting, but I do need Desktop API. Right now, I am paying for the whole eSig package, but would like to downgrade to Data Access only.

Can someone clarify this for me?

The Data Access subscription does not work with the Desktop API. To use the Desktop API, you must be running the eSignal application in conjunction.
