How to get symbol type by DBCAPI.dll

How to get symbol type by DBCAPI.dll,
such as "IBM" is stock, "EUR A0-FX" is Forex,
Is there any api has such function?

I'm sorry but Asset Classes are not in the data feed, therefore the Desktop API would not be able to indentify the different symbol types.
