This post is to update you on the progress being made with eSignal 11 which is scheduled to be released in January 2011. The growing interest in multi-threaded applications and 64-bit platforms has made it clear that Interactive Data will have to offer both a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of the eSignal application. This will enable Interactive Data to take advantage of the newer 64-bit operating systems and the more powerful multi-processor machines available today, while continuing to support users on 32-bit platforms.
As a valued developer partner we want to give you ample time to take any necessary steps required for you to update and to test the compatibility of your software integration with eSignal 11. Therefore, if you have a DLL, EFS Study Indicator or Trading software that integrates with eSignal you should ensure that it is compatible with both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions eSignal 11. For example, in the case of a DLL associated with an EFS Study you will need to offer your clients a 64-bit and a 32-bit version of the DLL.
You may download the beta release of eSignal 11 (32-bit and 64-bit versions) from the eSignal product Download page.
Our goal with this communication and the eSignal release is to ensure a smooth transition for our clients and vendors alike.
