Intraday historical data - why only 3 months?

Is there a reason why I cannot retrieve more than approximately 3 months worth of historical intraday (one minute) bars?

Are there plans to remove this restriction?

Its hard to justify paying several hundred dollars a month for the premier data provider's service and then being arbitrarily restricted like a second-class customer. Your competitor, Tradestation, makes available 10 years of intraday data.

We only currently support 60 trading days of intraday history. With the release of 7.5, we'll be expanding to 120 days. We'll be stopping at 120 days for a time while we re-write the underlying code of our Tick Servers to support a larger database and quicker retrievals. Eventually, we'll support 2 years of intraday history on all symbols and hope to grow beyond that as well.

7.5 is targeted for a 11/18 release date.
