Alerts/ changing the color of the quote window

Hi,
The activeX development guide allows one to perform price analysis and trigger trades. While that is pretty cool, I would really like the capability of creating alerts on the fly(e.g. I would like to look at a quote window my watchlist and know right away which candidates are 1. above previous day highs 2. above 60min 20ema. If I cannot do this, let me know. I am unhappy with the capabilities of the activeX API. What do I need to do to gain access to the real apis like the Esignal Control APIs. I would need to have access to the source code of the quote window in order to achieve what I want probably eh? If you know how to perform these requirements in EFS. let me know.
