  • handles stop realtime updates

ActiveX handles to bar and tick feeds quit realtime updates if the internet connection is temporarily interrupted. eSignal appears to reconnect, but the bar and tick counts quit updating.

I wrote another, much more detailed, description of the problem, but your miserable bulletin board system "timed me out", and I lost it all. I won't repeat here the things I had to say about eSignal at that point.

Addendum: The worst thing about this problem is that there is no deterministic way of detecting that the handle is dead. API calls referencing the handle return normal looking responses.

Does eSignal see this as a problem worth fixing, or should I plan on living with it?

...strange...if internet stop temporarly data keep on flowing after reconnecting....if internet stop permanently esignal get disconnected....and I receive the OnAppClosing event...if then I try to reconnect I am not able to receive data again other than close all (esignal, the data manager, the application) and start again...on the other end if you ask for data (getting an handle) and after that the application crash....then if you start it again you find that the activex is still receiving data with the handle id you were using before...
