Excel DDE integration vs. cpu resources
Hi everyone
Office XP seems to be much more cpu hungry than O2K was when using DDEs.
I use about 100 symbol DDEs with several different fields for each quote.
Anyone has an idea how to perhaps disable some background task or modify other settings in Excel to reduce the load on the cpu.
as it currently is, with DDEs being updated in real time and changing constantly, with taskmgr i see that excel uses on avg 55% of cpu resources and explorer (not iexplorer) uses pretty much all of the rest to take up 100% of cpu resources all of the time.
(it was not the case with W2K which was at about 80% total on avg, but i need to upgrade)
How can i reduce the load of live quotes thus constantly changing DDEs on my machine ?
