Basic info/getting started

I'm new to ES so still finding my way, especially round the boards.


I've been writing options pricing and analysis programmes for over ten years (Excel spreadsheets). I don't know any programming languages (I feel foreign languages would be more beneficial). That said, maybe API has potential.

With no knowledge, how user-friendly is API? And as a non-professional individual, what is the cost of API?

This site lists our development options and is worth a review. DDE is included in your eSignal subscription so you can go that route no problem. To program via ActiveX, the initial cost is $195 and then $20/mo. To gauge the complexity of ActiveX, you might want to review some of these ActiveX docs.
