how do i get previous bars?

Im trying to make a head and shoulders strategy and i was wondering how i access previous bars. anyone know the function and how i would get started?

i was thinking of creating an object w/ high and low, but im stuck as to how i would use it and accessing previous bars of the left shoulder and head.

With the Data Access functions such as close() you can use the offset parameter to retrieve the value of a previous bar or an array of previous bar values.
