  • sym() limits

    Hi all,

    having got to grips with the new EFS2 function sym(), I have finally managed to get a strategy to optimise variable settings against a text file containing a watchlist of symbols.

    The issue I now have is that sym() has a limit of only 7 symbol changes during a single run. Is this correct, and if so why?

    Any chance of upping the symbol limit to say 50?

    let me know and thanks

    Hello tj.dale,

    The symbol limit in EFS is to allow an EFS to create spreads using up to 7 symbols. EFS is not intended to be used to create scanners or routines like you are attempting to create. Allowing EFS to perform these types of routines would potentially overload our data servers so it's not likely that the limit will be increased. However, you are more than welcome to submit your request to our development team at [email protected].
