eSignal Strategy Analyzer

First, thank you to Brad Matheny. Learned a lot from his "Guide To Developing eSignal Strategies" in his group site.

I am about to try to develop and test my strategy. I was wondering how one accesses the Strategy Analyzer. I think I went thru all the esignal software pull-down menus, but didn't see any mention of it.

Just wanted to have everything in place before I invested time starting this project.

What exactly do you mean by Strategy Analyzer? If you are referring to backtesting your strategy, you can do so by right clicking on the advanced chart which has your strategy selected, and simply go to the "Tools" submenu and select "Back Testing".

From that menu you can select a few options, and once done select "Test". This will analyze the results of the strategy for you.

Be sure to note that it backtests as far back as the time template your chart is set to use.
